Our Ministries

We host events throughout the year for children, including an Easter Egg Hunt, Back To School Bash, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, a Children's Christmas Program, and Vacation Bible School. We also offer Sunday School classes for children of all ages. 

EMC has an active Youth Group made up of 6th-12th graders. In addition to weekly meetings, our youth attend special events like Winter Jam, camp at Lake Junaluska, and have completed individual and group service projects. 

Kathryn Wise directs all of EMC's music, while Joelle Page plays piano and Elaine Tilghman plays organ. We have an adult choir, children's choir, and handbell choir. EMC's Chancel (adult) choir presents Easter and Christmas Cantatas each year. 

The Piece Makers are a dedicated group of ladies who meet weekly to create handmade quilts, blankets, and other small good which are sold annually at our fall fundraiser. The group has also made numerous "port pillows" for patients who are receiving chemotherapy.

The Methodist Men meet monthly for breakfast and fellowship, and also volunteer their time for the upkeep of the exterior of our church buildings and grounds. 

The Methodist Women meet monthly in various circles, or as a larger group. They are responsible for the church's yearly fall fundraiser, including the preparation and sale of casseroles and bakemotlynd goods, and use the proceeds to fund may charitable organizations.
